How to Enter
Each award category has an individual and referenced entry form, which contains clear entry guidelines and criteria.
Please note where entry is for more than one category, each entry form must be accompanied by a full submission conforming to entry guidelines.
Yorkshire Post Newspapers cannot return any submitted entries after entry closing date.
Entry Deadline: 5pm, Friday 12th September 2008
The winners of each category will be announced at a gala awards ceremony to be held at Savile Hall, The Royal Armouries, Leeds, on Friday 14th November 2008.
1. Best Agent Website
1A – National / Regional Agent (more than 5 branches)
For the continuity throughout the judging process, we would be grateful if you could adhere to the following guidelines.
Entry guidelines
- Summary statement of website; features, functionality, ease of use and quality of individual property data. No more than 200 words.
- Brief description of search engine optimisation / site marketing.
- Evidence of site traffic in a single calendar month. One month of traffic between 1st October 2007 and 30th September 2008.
- Examples of site screen grabs, (no more than 6), mounted on A3 white / black card.
- Virtual tour can be supplied in CD ROM format (not DVD) for the judge’s consideration.
- If you have any video footage or promotional film regarding your website please supply this with your entry.
1B – Independent Agent (5 branches or less)
For the continuity throughout the judging process, we would be grateful if you could adhere to the following guidelines.
Entry guidelines

- Include name of individual, company or role
No more than 100 words of supporting evidence for your nomination.
4.Property Industry Newcomer Award
For the continuity throughout the judging process, we would be grateful if you could adhere to the following guidelines.
Entry Guidelines
- Entry is for an individual new to the industry not a business.
- Include name, role and company of nominee
- Nomination and statement from Director, no more than 150 words
- Entry submission from nominee detailing success and achievement, no more than 150 words
Qualification date for entry: Industry start date after 1st January 2006.
5.Best First or Starter Home
For the continuity throughout the judging process, we would be grateful if you could adhere to the following guidelines.
Entry Guidelines
- General / property development description. Including pricing and details of key specification features to include interior and exterior finish.
- Examples of purchase incentives i.e. fees paid, stamp duty paid, part exchange, no deposit, carpets etc. Please note the property must have been sold
- Brief description of location and proximity to travel links.
- All of the above to be no more than 250 words
- Supporting evidence to included –
- Development brochure
- Floor Plans
- Internal / External layouts
- Site Plans
- Photographs (internal and/ or external)

- Evidence of planning permission

11. Best Commercial Property – Industrial Development
- General / property development description. Including pricing and details of key specification features, suitability for purpose, and amenity afforded.
- Brief description of location and proximity to travel links
