Criteria:

A copy of the advertisement which appeared in a Johnston Press publication must be attached. This may be mounted on card for impact. The judges will be looking for:

  • An eye catching advertisement
  • An advertisement which provides all the relevant contact detail and is non discriminatory
  • Individuality
  • Reader Interest …Does the copy sell the role?
  • Action!...Does it make you want to get up and do?

Guidelines:

In no more than 250 words, why does your advert deserve to win?

  • What was the main purpose of the advert?
  • How successful was the advert in achieving its purpose?
  • Where did the idea come from?

Best Recruitment Advertising Campaign

Criteria:

A series of advertisement or recruitment materials designed to meet a defined objective. This may be aimed at one kind of applicant or a range of audiences as long as the campaign has a clearly developed theme, applied over a period of time. The same advertisements hitting the press again and again does NOT qualify as a campaign, nor does a number of items (e.g. advertisement, poster, radio commercial) all appearing in the same week. Key criteria will be:

  • Development of an idea across at least 3 advertisements or items.
  • Consistency and longevity of approach.
  • Overall impact and brand awareness

Guidelines:

In no more than 250 words, why does your campaign deserve to win?

  • What was the main purpose of the campaign?
  • How successful was the campaign?
  • Where did the idea come from?
  • Does the campaign make you want to work for this company?

Best Team Sponsored by

Criteria:

The judges will be looking for a real team of people who pull together to achieve & succeed.

A team of 2 to 200 may be considered.

Guidelines:

In no more than 250 words, why does this team deserve to win?

  • What is the team structure?
  • What is the secret of the Teams success?
  • Has the team overcome any obstacles together?
  • How does the team share ideas/resources?
  • How does the team resolve conflict?
  • How has the team impacted on the company's business results?
  • Two individual accounts from team members or two outside testimonials may be submitted.

Best Manager

Criteria:

This award is aimed at Branch Managers, supervisors, Team Leaders, Account Managers and anyone who manages a team. The judges will be looking for a manager who provides direction and purpose, who motivates others to achieve a high level of success and takes ownership for the team’s performance. This manager must have credibility within their organisation and act as a role model.

Guidelines:

In no more than 250 words please explain why this person deserves to win the best Manager Award.

  • How do they inspire and energize the team, maintaining a positive can do attitude to encourage the same in others?
  • You may include two brief testimonials from the team as long as they are totally relevant to skills of the manager.
  • How do they create an environment of joint achievement?
  • Are they willing to put in additional effort to create success for the business?
  • How do they coach others to solve their own problems and allow them to try new things?
  • Do they actively encourage ownership of plans through gathering ideas and expectations from the team?
  • Are they approachable even under pressure?
  • Is there a succession plan in place?
  • How do they motivate their team?

Criteria:

The judges will be looking for a behind the scenes person who makes that special difference. Open to everyone in the workplace.

  • Why is this person so vital in their role?
  • How do they make their contribution?
  • Is there a specific area where they have made the difference and given that extra value?
  • What makes them special?

The judges will be looking for a consultant who presents a professional image, is totally customer focused and cares enough to go that extra mile in pursuit of excellence.

Guidelines:

  • Is the consultant well organised and efficient?
  • What are their key attributes?
  • Is the consultant solutions focused?
  • Do they consistently exceed company expectations and targets?
  • What drives and motivates them?
  • How flexible are they when it comes to delivering clients and candidate’s needs?
  • What do they look for in a role model?

Criteria:

The Website must be easy to demonstrate to the judges. They will be looking for:

  • A clear format
  • User friendly entry Interactivity/Printability
  • Clear job descriptions
  • Online ability to register CVs
  • Useful hints and tips.

  • Is the website accessible to all?
  • How easy is it to navigate?
  • How regularly is the website updated?
  • How well does the website sell the company & its culture?

Magnetism

Criteria:

This award is designed to recognise the effort for attracting clients to your particular agency/company. The judges will be looking at various areas including: overall attraction, front of house, promotional/marketing material, corporate image (e.g. uniform / branding)

Guidelines:

In no more than 250 words explain why your company deserves this award.

  • How does your agency attract the clients? What makes your business special?
  • Why should a client visit your agency as opposed to another one across the street?
  • What unique or interesting techniques do you use to attract customers?
  • Do you have a consistent image or style that you always adhere to?
  • Do you care about your reputation and actively try to promote and entice people to your business?
  • Have you spent considerable time and energy into making your agency appear the most attractive contender in your field?

Criteria:

The judges will be looking for an individual who has shown true promise in their role. A new or young employee, an existing employee who has grown naturally or a long standing employee who has taken on additional responsibility willingly and graciously within the last 12 months.

In no more than 250 words say why this person is deserving of the Rising Star Award.

  • What is the rising star's key role?
  • What key achievement or contribution have they made to the business/organisation?
  • How long has the rising star been employed in the company?
  • Does this rising star recognise their own ability?

Criteria:

This award is designed to recognize excellent customer service and client satisfaction.

Customer focus and client relations is key in this award.

  • Can the recruitment team demonstrate good client analysis?
  • Is there a structured approach to client relationships?
  • What products and services are offered and are there valued added (inclusive) extras?
  • Is there a high level of service offered by staff throughout the company?
